Maryland Woman Killed In I-79 Crash

AMWELL TOWNSHIP (KDKA) -- A Maryland woman was killed when a vehicle struck a truck Wednesday afternoon on Interstate 79 in Washington County.

The deadly crash happened around 4:30 p.m. near the Marianna exit in Amwell Township right on the Washington and Greene County border.

Police say the car went out of control and was then hit by a West Penn Power truck.

The victim has been identified as 20-year-old Sarah Graham of Maryland.

She was a passenger in the car.

Both northbound lanes had to be closed down as a result of the crash. The road has since been reopened.
