Cops: Jailed Penn State Student Sold Drugs In Dorm
STATE COLLEGE, Pa. (AP) - A Penn State student has been jailed on charges he sold marijuana wax and an anti-anxiety prescription drug from his main campus dorm room.
Austin Ross Querriera's GPA isn't likely utmost on his mind right now.
On Wednesday, the 19-year-old student at Penn State was busted for allegedly selling drugs out of his dorm room in Sproul Hall.
According to the criminal complaint, informants tipped State College Police that Querriera was dealing in "cocaine and other drugs."
Police set up two controlled buys, allegedly purchasing Xanax, an anti-anxiety drug, and marijuana wax, a popular, more concentrated and potent form of that drug from Austin.
In searching his dorm room, police found a baggie full of marijuana, $150 cash, and a scale with suspected marijuana residue.
Querriera, who graduated from Senaca Valley High School, lives in Cranberry Township, where no one was answering the door.
Querriera is facing seven felony counts of possession with intent to deliver, and two counts of criminal use of a communications facility.
He's being held on a $100,000 bail.
