Comrie Undergoes Surgery, Out 3-4 Months
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Pittsburgh Penguins forward Mike Comrie received both good and bad news following surgery on his hip.
According to the Penguins, the surgery was successful, but Comrie is expected to miss three to four months as a result.
Comrie suffered the injury during a 3-2 loss to the Montreal Canadiens on Oct. 9. He has been forced to miss the last 15 games because of the injury.
The Penguins placed him on injured reserve earlier this month.
In 16 games with the Penguins, Comrie has no goals and five assists.
