Cold Weather Expected To Last Over Next Few Days
PITTSBURGH (NewsRadio 1020 KDKA) - North of I-80 forecasters are predicting there could be up to 10 inches of lake effect snow Thursday night through Saturday morning. Locally we will also be dealing with a little bit of the white stuff but don't panic, we aren't expecting any accumulation.
With the snow showers comes below normal temperatures and the mix could make for tricky driving conditions in some spots but it isn't expected to be widespread.
AccuWeather Meteorologist Bill Deger told the KDKA Morning News with Larry Richert and John Shumway that temperatures will be below freezing Thursday night and lows the rest of the weekend into Monday will also be below freezing.
Deger says that "we are going to see several days of below normal temperatures" for highs.
He adds that on Monday we could "get brushed by some snow late Sunday night into Monday and the potential is there for some light accumulation."
Deger says that it is still early and the forecast most likely will change for Monday but he reiterates the "potential" is there for light snow.
