CMU Professor Considering Run For U.S. Senate

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- A professor from Carnegie Mellon University is considering a run for the Senate.
Kiron Skinner told the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette she is exploring a possible run for the Republican nomination to replace Senator Pat Toomey.
Skinner is a foreign policy expert who spent a year as the Director for Policy Planning under former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.
She would be the first Black woman to represent Pennsylvania in the U.S. Senate.
