Deliberations Begin In Beaver Co. Double-Shooting Case
BEAVER (KDKA) – Deliberations are now under way in the trial of a man accused of shooting his estranged wife and her friend.
Closing arguments concluded just before 1 p.m. Monday in the murder trial of Greg Baker.
Baker is accused of fatally shooting 48-year-old Thomas Dougherty and wounding his now ex-wife, Linda Baker, in an East Rochester shopping plaza parking lot in December of 2009.
To avoid the death penalty, the defense is trying to prove that the shootings were not premeditated.
Linda Baker said she fears for her life if her ex-husband ever gets released, but she's not sure if she wants him to face the death penalty.
