Clardy: Bad Umpiring Bigger Threat To MLB's Integrity Than PEDs
PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) - Major League Baseball is set to expand instant replay's role in the game, and Sportsradio 93.7 The Fan's Troy Clardy is all for it.
The proposal isn't perfect, but it's a step. And even though he doesn't like seeing performance-enhancing drugs in the game, Troy still thinks getting calls correct on a daily basis is much more important to preserving the game's integrity than baseball's war on steroids.
"How can your game have any integrity when your umpires and your officials don't know what they're doing?" Clardy asks. "You want a surefire, bonafide way to ruin the integrity of your product? You want to turn your game into a joke fast? Simple...have your umpires and officials consistently affect games by making bad calls and making your league look foolish. It worked last year for the NFL!"
Listen to Troy's entire thoughts below! And catch him Sunday mornings on Sportsradio 93.7 The Fan.
