State Police Seek Man Who Escaped From Hospital While Serving Time

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- A man serving time at a corrections facility has escaped from UPMC Mercy Hospital.

State police say Kenneth Henry Killer, Jr. was admitted to UPMC Mercy Hospital on Sept. 4 at 9:30 p.m. for chest pains.

Around 8:35 a.m. the next morning, Killer left his hospital room.

Police say UPMC security officers tried to stop Killer from leaving, but he physically struggled with them and left the hospital.

Killer was last seen running towards the Hill District.

Killer has an extensive criminal history and is currently serving time for Possession with Intent to Deliver at the Renewal Community Corrections Center in Pittsburgh.

Pennsylvania State Police have a warrant for Killer.

He is described as a 45-year-old African American male, 6'4" and weighs about 180 pounds. He has brown eyes and two tattoos of names on his right arm.
