Cecil Interviews For Steelers' Secondary Coaching Position
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) - Former Tennessee Titans defensive coordinator Chuck Cecil is interviewing for the open secondary coaching position with the Steelers, according to John Clayton of ESPN.
The position became available after Ray Horton left the team to become the defensive coordinator of the Arizona Cardinals.
Cecil was let go as the Titans defensive coordinator after spending 10 years as an assistant to head coach Jeff Fisher, who resigned his head coaching position this off-season.
While at Tennessee, he started as the defensive quality control coach, then moved to safeties and nickel backs coach, proceeded to defensive backs coach and finally became defensive coordinator.
