Chicago Comes To Pittsburgh
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- They remain one of the top-selling American rock bands of all time.
The group "Chicago" is second only to the Beach Boys in the number of records sold by an American group.
Sunday night, they brought their jazz, rock, pop fusion to Heinz Hall.
KDKA's Paul Martino had a chance to sit down and talk with keyboardist-vocalist Robert Lamm who wrote man of their top hits including "Saturday in the Park" and "25 or 6 to 4."
Lamm says they have a great fan base in Pittsburgh.
He also talked about being snubbed by the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame. Lamm blames it on a long standing rift between the band and Rolling Stone magazine.
But according to the singer/songwriter, it really doesn't matter.
"I really don't think it's important," he said. "I honest to God don't think it's important. If you make me think about it, about who is in there and who is not in there, you know, I could go down that rabbit hole like everybody else. It's just really not important."
But their fans are starting a grassroots campaign to get Chicago in the Hall of Fame.
