CBS' Clark Kellogg Has High Praise For Pitt Hoops
PITTSBURGH (93-7 The Fan) - CBS Sports college basketball analyst Clark Kellogg previews the conference tournament week with Vinnie & Cook on Sportsradio 93-7 The Fan.
With Pitt poised to begin the Big East Tournament, Clark likes the Panthers' chances in the NCAA Tournament.
"This is one of the teams I've highlighted as a dangerous team," Kellogg says. "Wherever they're seeded, they'll be problematic and difficult. They play together as well as you'll find any team in college basketball. They share the ball, and they defend together. And they have a collective spirit that can serve them well going into the tournament. I like Pitt's chances."
Kellogg reacts to the latest swirl of rumors on whether Pitt head coach Jamie Dixon could be in the mix for the job at USC.
"When you've had the kind of success that he's had, and coaching vacancies happen, he's a name that would come up on athletic directors' lists. That's inevitable," Kellogg said.
Kellogg also looks forward to the Big East Tournament, and admits some sadness that this once-great event will never be the same after this season.
