Father Killed While Alongside Child In Carrick After Shooting
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) - A man was shot and killed in Carrick.
The shooting happened Thursday in the 300 block of Kirk Avenue. Police say the victim was pronounced dead at the scene after being shot multiples times.
A witness told KDKA she heard about seven to eight shots. Several neighbors say the victim was in his 30s and was taking his baby out of a car when he was shot and killed.
"People just started screaming," said Amanda Banaszak. "I have a 5-year-old. This is so close to home."
Police say they are looking for two suspects at this time.
"There were obviously plenty of witnesses. There are people out on their porches right now. And they were telling police that there were two suspects, so they're searching for two suspects at the moment," said police spokesperson Cara Cruz said.
Pittsburgh police say this is the 28th homicide of the year.
