Car Shears Utility Pole, Knocks Out Power Overnight In Part Of New Brighton
NEW BRIGHTON (KDKA) -- Power was knocked out to about a one block area in New Brighton overnight when a car crashed into a utility pole.
The accident happened just before 3 a.m. in the 1800-block of 3rd Avenue.
The car sheared the pole, bringing down power lines and shutting off power for a block or so.
The driver was able to get out of the car on his own, but was taken to a local hospital to be checked out.
There's been no word on his condition.
