Butler Senior High School Students Take On Tough Topics
PITTSBURGH (NewsRadio 1020) - Mike Pintek ended his high school tour today at Butler Senior High School. Mike likes to challenge his students with hard hitting questions about top news stories to see what they know. The students surprised Mike with how enthusiastic and interested they were in discussing their opinions.

Mike decided to test the students on how much they really knew about the Boston bombing suspects. In fact, the students were more than ecstatic to talk about the three new men that were recently arrested. He wondered what these students would do if they were to find out one of their friends had committed a heinous act that killed people?
"We can never know exactly what we would do in that situation," said a student. "When it's a friend of yours that's being accused of something so terrible, it's hard to think that this person who you care about could do that."

He also touched on the subject of text messaging while driving and few admitted to doing it. But one student insisted that his mother can't even walk straight while she's looking at her phone. The students agree that the younger generation has more success in texting while doing other activities than older adults.
"I can only think that maybe it's because we grew up with video games and our ability to manage technology developed at a young age compared to our parents," said another student.
