Burress Signs With The NY Jets
Pittsburgh (KDKA)- Plaxico Burress had serious interest in returning to the Steelers; but in the end, he went for the money.
Burress is heading back to New York to play for the Jets.
Burress signed a one-year contract worth a guaranteed $3 million.
The Jets will now have two former Steelers as their wide receivers, Burress and Santonio Holmes.
The Jets re-signed Holmes to a five-year, $50 million contract and decided to move on from Edwards, who refused to lower his asking price.
Burress actually accepted the Jets offer while on a trip to visit the San Francisco 49ers.
