Burglary Spree Probed In Beaver County

GEORGETOWN (KDKA) -- Kim Bradich, who lives in Chester, West Va., is moving into her grandparent's house just over the state line in Georgetown Borough, Beaver County, the area where she grew up.

But, she's concerned after learning there's been a recent rash of burglaries from unlocked cars, and garages in the tiny community the past couple of nights.

State Police say the thief, or thieves have been taking CD's, GPS units, money, purses, a hand gun – pretty much anything they can get their hands on.

"When I was growing up [in Georgetown], people didn't lock their doors, you just came and went, people just walked in, and you were welcome," Bradich said.

Pearl Tustin, whose SUV was targeted last Thursday night, said she'll be locking her doors from now on. Money was taken from her unlocked SUV, along with two pairs of gloves.
