Burglar Makes Off With Holiday Gifts As Stowe Twp. Roommates Sleep
STOWE TOWNSHIP (KDKA) -- Three Stowe Township roommates say they feel angry and violated after a burglar broke in while they were sleeping and stole gifts and toy donations from under their Christmas tree.
It happened at 4 a.m. Monday at 221 McCoy Road in Stowe Township.
Mark Boden told KDKA's Kym Gable he chased the intruder with a gun after his friend woke up to find the man in his bedroom.
The thief sped off in a waiting car after stealing televisions, computers, movies and thousands in cash, even hot dogs and ketchup from the refrigerator.
"I guess he just picked and chose, but he didn't take the TV. He didn't take that TV, but he took the two TVs upstairs," said Boden. "The Christmas tree, all the presents are gone. They were wrapped, ready to go, ready for Christmas Day."
Stowe Township Police continue the investigation.
