Bucs: Wednesday Spring Training Links

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) — Right-handed pitcher Logan Kensing felt a twinge in his abdominal area Tuesday and will sit out for the next two weeks, according to a report on the Pittsburgh Pirates official website.

Kensing reportedly suffered the injury while warming up to throw a bullpen session. The injury looked to be minor at first, but the Pirates have chosen to sit Kensing for the next two weeks.

Kensing had shoulder surgery in 2010, missing the entire season. He made 21 appearances for the New York Yankees Triple-A affiliate in Wilkes-Barre/Scranton in 2011.

His is the first significant injury of spring training for the Pirates. Spring training games begin Saturday against Toronto.
