Bucs: Pirates Lose To Yankees, 10-3
PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) — Andrew McCutchen hit his third home run of Spring Training Tuesday, but the Pirates lost to the New York Yankees, 10-3.
Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez went 2-of-3 from the plate with three RBIs to help lead the Yankees to the win.
McCutchen went 2-of-3 with two RBIs. His homer came in the first inning with Jose Tabata aboard to give the Pirates an early 2-0 lead.
Neil Walker also went 2-of-3 from the plate with an RBI.
Pirates starter Erik Bedard pitched 3 2/3 innings, allowing four runs on five hits. He struck out three and walked three in the outing.
Reliever Jo-Jo Reyes allowed three runs on three hits without recording an out.
