Bucs: Phillies Beat Pirates, 5-4
PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) — Despite an eighth-inning rally, the Pirates lost to Philadephia Tuesday, 5-4.
Nick Evans, Eric Fryer and Casey McGehee drove in runs for Pittsburgh in a four-run eighth inning, but Scott Podsednick homered in the ninth inning to win it for the Phillies.
Chris Resop allowed two runs in two innings. Daniel McCutchen and Daniel Moskos allowed a run a piece.
The Pirates return to action at 7 p.m. Wednesday against Tampa Bay.
