Bruins Analyst Bob Beers: The Bruins Are Aware The Pens Could Still Comeback
PITTSBURGH (93-7 The Fan)- Boston Bruins Analyst Bob Beers joined The Fan Morning Show on Friday prior to Game 4.
Beers said Game 3 was exactly what he had expected the entire series to look like. He was surprised to see how the Pens handled both of the home games especially when they unraveled in Game 2 after trying to comeback after being down early.
He thought the Pens played a great game in Game 3 and Boston may have won even though they should not have. He is convinced this series is not over. "The Bruins realize how explosive the Pens are and how quickly they could get back into this" Beers said.
The Bruins are all too familiar with leads not being safe. The Bruins had a 3-0 lead over the Flyers only to lose the series in 2010.
Beers said the Bruins expect to see the Pens best effort in tonight's game.
Beers said there is no doubt that Tuukka Rask has been tremendous in this series but he will need to be again tonight for Game 4.
If the Pens can avoid elimination tonight the series will return to Pittsburgh for Game 5 Sunday night at Consol Energy Center at 8 pm.
