Bruce Springsteen Back In Pittsburgh For Special Concert
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- The Boss is back.
Bruce Springsteen played at Soldiers and Sailors Hall in Oakland with his friend, local rocker Joe Grushecky and The Houserockers.
Springsteen just performed at CONSOL Energy Center back in April, and that's where he announced he would be coming back for this date.
Grushecky says he and Springsteen became friends back in the '80s, and since, the Boss has been back to Pittsburgh many times.
"It's a blast. First of all, he's a tremendous musician and he's really a fun guy to be around and it's playing with one of the best of all time," said Grushecky of sharing the stage with the superstar.
He says Springsteen loves the city, especially the people here.
Pittsburgh fans love Springsteen, too.
A group lined up outside Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hall in Oakland hoping to meet Springsteen as he arrived.
The Boss smiled and waved to the crowd, as they yelled "Bruuuce!"
Springsteen will play one more concert with Grushecky's band Friday.
