Brian Billick On Steelers: 'This Is The Team To Beat'
PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) - Despite their struggles over the final two games of the season, former Ravens head coach Brian Billick says he still thinks the Steelers are a team nobody will want to face in the playoffs.
Billick joined The Starkey and Mueller Show to talk about the Steelers-Bengals first round playoff matchup and who he thinks will win.
"For the last half of the season, I said this is the team to beat," Billick said. "I've got them going into the Super Bowl against Arizona."
That being said, Billick said their recent play has him a bit concerned.
"That loss to Baltimore and what they let Ryan Mallet do to that defense has got to be a serious concern because that means that's in there. They've got to play better. If they can, they can be that team you don't want to play and can make this run all the way to the Super Bowl."
One of the reasons the Steelers are so dangerous is the play of Antonio Brown and you can count Billick among his many fans.
"When you watch Antonio Brown play, whether it's yards after the catch, whether it's getting open, whether it's the catches that he makes, it's just so effortless in what he does. And you can tell teams are almost [Michael] Jordan-esque in 'Ok, we know he's going to get his, we just got to hope everybody else we can minimize what they do to us.'"
