Bouchette: Steelers Should Sit Polamalu
PITTSBURGH (93-7 The Fan) - Steelers beat writer for the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette and 93-7 The Fan Steelers Insider Ed Bouchette joined Seibel and Starkey to discuss a number of topics leading up the teams match-up with the Jets on Sunday afternoon.
Bouchette said the Steelers should sit Troy Polamalu for sure this week, at least for the next two weeks, and possibly until the playoffs.
He also discussed the team's red zone issues. He said that Ben Roethlisberger and Bruce Arians met to discuss them this week and determined the problem was that they always go for it all on first down, rather than trying to set them up for a score on second and third down.
When it came to talking about Santonio Holmes' return to Heinz Field this weekend, Bouchette feels as though he deserves a warm reception for what he did in Super Bowl XLIII.
Bouchette also talked about the guy responsible with the task of replacing Holmes, Mike Wallace, and how he has taken his game to a whole new level this year.
