Bortuzzo Sent Down To AHL
PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) — Penguins defenseman Robert Bortuzzo was sent back down to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton after being called up to play in a 3-2 shootout win at Los Angeles Saturday.
Saturday night was Bortuzzo's NHL debut. He logged 10:38 of ice time on 17 shifts and took a minor penalty.
Bortuzzo was a third round selection in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft and has played two full seasons in Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.
The Penguins are off until Friday, which should allow them to heal up defensively before their next game.
