Bomb Threat Made Against 3 Buildings On Pitt's Campus
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Frustrations are growing on the University of Pittsburgh campus as the bomb threats keep coming.
Students were notified that the university received a bomb threat Wednesday for the Cathedral of Learning, Posvar Hall and Litchfield Tower C just before 5:30 p.m.
All three buildings have been evacuated.
Earlier today, a threat was made against Thackeray Hall.
On Tuesday, students living in the Litchfield Towers had to get out in the middle of the night after a threat was emailed to a Pittsburgh post-Gazette reporter.
Police say it came from an anonymous "re-mailer," and is nearly untraceable.
A few hours later there was another threat at the Chevron science building, and by the afternoon, a third at the Cathedral of Learning, again.
There have now been 13 bomb threats at Pitt in recent weeks.
Pitt is offering a $50,000 reward for information.
The Pitt police chief says they will pursue federal charges against whoever is responsible.
