Bomb Squad Called For Suspicious Package In Overbrook
OVERBROOK (KDKA) – A suspicious package closed part of Route 51 in Overbrook Thursday morning.
According to emergency dispatchers, the package was found near the intersection of Route 51 and Maytide Street around 10:45 a.m.
According to our news partners at the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, the device was described as being a box wrapped with wires.
Police said the object appeared to be a small transformer with copper wiring around the top.
The Bomb Squad was been called to the scene and EOD techs "enacted a general disrupt" before the area was deemed safe.
