Bloomfield Bank Robbery Suspect Arrested
BLOOMFIELD (KDKA) - An arrest has been made in the robbery of a Bloomfield bank earlier this month.
According to police, surveillance video led them to 35-year-old Jay Albrecht of Polish Hill.
Albrecht is accused of robbing the Fifth Third Bank in the 4700-block of Liberty Avenue on April 13.
He allegedly approached the teller once and told her he was just reading and walked away.
He returned 10 minutes later and approached the teller a second time saying, "You know what this is? Empty the drawer and be quick."
The teller complied and handed over an unknown amount of money.
He is now in the Allegheny County Jail and has been charged with one count of robbery.
