Blogger Seth Rorabaugh Offers Insight on Pens-Blue Jackets Series
PITTSBURGH (93-7 THE FAN) – Seth Rorabaugh, of the Pittsburgh Post Gazette's Empty Netters Blog, joined The Fan's John Phillips to react to the Penguins' performance in Game 4 and to look ahead to Game 5.
"I've seen a really weird series," said Rorabaugh. "I've seen the Penguins underachieve in some aspects, and I've seen the Blue Jackets underachieve in some aspects."
He argues the Penguins have definitely not lived up to his or anyone's expectations.
Rorabaugh thinks Paul Martin has been the best player on the ice thus far.
"He has brought them such a calming presence," Rorabaugh said.
He thinks this has been essential due to Rob Scuderi and Kris Letang's struggles.
When asked about Sidney Crosby's play, Rorabaugh says, "He can pull guys aside, privately, and talk to players," but he thinks he is more of a lead by example kind of player.
Rorabaugh followed up by saying, "He needs to start scoring."
Phillips and Rorabaugh finish up by agreeing that Sid has not been himself.
"Maybe there are subtle little adjustments he could make," said Rorabaugh
When asked what the difference has been in this series, Rorabaugh says, "Columbus is playing playoff hockey."
