Black Lives Matter Mural Along Allegheny River To Remain For Now
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- A Black Lives Matter mural painted along the Allegheny River will remain for now.
PennDOT owns the wall that runs along the Riverwalk downtown.
The artist did not ask for permission before painting the phrase along with images of Antwon Rose, George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, and Breonna Taylor.
PennDOT usually paints over graffiti on that wall, but says it is focused on maintenance work right now.
