Black & Gold Sunday: Mike Ditka
PITTSBURGH (NewsRadio 1020 KDKA) - On this edition of Kuhn's Market Black and Gold Sunday, Rob Pratte was joined by Hall of Fame football player and coach Mike Ditka.
Ditka reminisced about his career on and off the field, stating that contrary to popular belief he "played his best football in Dallas" towards the end of his playing career.
Pratte and Ditka discussed some of the game's greats like Gayle Sayers, they proposed what his numbers would have been if he could have avoided the injuries that plagued his career.
Pitt legend and Heisman award recipient Tony Dorsett was given high praise, Ditka called him, "one of the best I've ever seen."
Chicago Bears middle linebacker Brian Urlacher is retiring after 13 seasons with the Bears. Pratte asked Ditka if Urlacher would be a Hall of Famer, Ditka responded, "No question about it." Ditka knows a lot about Chicago Bears greats, his number was retired by the organization and he coached Walter Payton and Mike Singletary.
