Black Friday Shoppers Cash In On Deals

MONROEVILLE (KDKA) - For some shoppers, Black Friday was more like a marathon. Many waited outside of stores and malls for hours, braving the harsh weather conditions.

Jennifer Falbo from Churchill said she began early Friday morning at Toys "R" Us, went on to Old Navy, then Dunham's and wound up at Kohl's in Monroeville, where she told KDKA's David Highfield that she was just about done for the day.

The Kohl's store in Monroeville opened at 3 a.m. and the store manager said at least 700 people were in line when the doors opened.

Some stores, such as the Toys "R" Us in Ross Township, only allowed 50 people into the store at a time. It opened its doors for Black Friday deals at 10 p.m. Thanksgiving night.

Some items sold out, such as the Triple Buffet Slow Cooker that was half-price at Kohl's. A high-definition camera was also 50 percent off.

Kelly Ridinger of White Oak felt good about the 32-inch television she bought at Best Buy in Monroeville after saving $117.

If you missed out on Black Friday deals, many stores are still running sales that are extending into the weekend.
