Billy Joel To Headline Concert At CONSOL Energy Center
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Mark your calendars, Billy Joel fans.
The Piano Man is coming to Pittsburgh.
Officials with CONSOL Energy Center made the announcement at a press conference Wednesday morning.
"We have hosted some of the most legendary artists in the industry, great acts like Paul McCartney, Bruce Springsteen and the Eagles, Elton John, Madonna and Bon Jovi have played in this great venue," said Penguins COO Travis Williams.
The legendary entertainer will play at the arena on Feb. 21.
Tickets go on sale Dec. 13.
This will be Billy Joel's first solo headlining appearance in Pittsburgh since April of 2008 -- where he played for a sell-out crowd, and officials expect no different in 2014.
"Billy Joel is one of the highest grossing touring artists in the world, having sold over 150 million albums globally his music has remained among the most popular in the world," Williams said.
The announcement comes one day after it was revealed that Lady Gaga's ARTPOP Ball Tour will stop at CONSOL Energy Center on May 8.
Tickets go on sale for that concert Monday, Dec. 16.
Gaga was last in Pittsburgh in 2011 on her Monster Ball Tour.
