WATCH: Bill Murray Tells Touching Story About Arnold Palmer
Even as the Ryder Cup approaches and the world begins to turn its attention to Hazeltine National Golf Course in Minnesota, the golf community is still mourning the loss of arguably the greatest legend in the game's history, Arnold Palmer, who died on Sunday at the age of 87.
Among those lamenting the loss of Palmer is a veritable legend in his own right in Bill Murray, who's also a golf aficionado.
Murray, who is in Minnesota preparing to take in the Ryder Cup action, spoke with reporters after his Ryder Cup celebrity match on Tuesday and recounted an Arnold Palmer story that epitomizes just how great of a man, and an ambassador for the game he truly was.
In case you can't watch or hear the video, Murray says that after a round of golf with Palmer the latter was preparing for a senior PGA Tour event, Palmer sat and signed autographs for fans for "almost three full hours straight." Murray then added "I never saw anything like it."
Just another one of one million reasons why Palmer will be terribly missed.
Bryan Altman is, for some reason, an unabashed fan of the Rangers, Jets and Mets. If he absolutely had to pick a basketball team it would be the Knicks, but he'd gladly trade them for a championship for any of his other three teams.
