Crosstown Ramp Closed This Weekend
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Weekend drivers won't be able to access Bigelow Boulevard via the Crosstown Boulevard ramp that connects it to Interstate 579.
PennDOT crews will be working on the ramp, replacing expansion dams.
It will be closed until 6 a.m. Monday.
PennDOT has a suggested detour:
- Take the Center Avenue/ Consol Energy Center exit
- Make a left onto Washington Place
- Continue onto Bigelow Bouldevard
Signs will also be placed along the detour.
The bridge is being updated as part of a $36 million Crosstown Boulevard/ Veterans Bridge preservation project. Construction is expected to be completed next year.
