Bethel Park Police Seek Help Identifying Gas Station Robbery Suspect
BETHEL PARK (KDKA) – Police are looking for a man in connection with a gas station robbery in Bethel Park Monday night.
According to police, the incident happened at the 7-Eleven/BP gas station near the intersection of Route 88 and Clifton Road around 10:20 p.m.
A man entered the store, approached the counter and demanded money. The clerk complied and handed over an undetermined amount of cash.
"The clerk was in there alone at the time and they were getting ready to close in approximately 30 minutes," Bethel Park Police Chief Timothy O'Connor said. "He approached the counter. He demanded cash from the register the clerk believed he made a motion towards his pocket as if he had a gun."
The suspect then fled onto Clifton Road in an unknown direction.
During the incident, the suspect did not show a weapon.
