The city of Pittsburgh, PA is celebrating Earth Day, April 22, 2015 with an exciting array of things to do and enjoy. This year purchasing green is encouraged to recognize Earth Day for a spectacular event that will be better than ever before.

In Mellon Park, residents and visitors will get to enjoy a variety of different foods that are rated the best food trucks in the city. Attendees will enjoy their choice of the Pittsburgh Pierogi Truck, the Pgh Taco Truck, Randita's, Franktuary, The Mac & Gold Truck, BRGR and the Frankturay. There is cuisine for every type of taste bud. This special event is something that people won't want to miss, as it is the first time that Pittsburgh has had them all together for Earth Day.

Mellon Park is also hosting the Pittsburgh Earth Day's Pop Up Organic Market where people will enjoy Organically Social and Farm to Table Pittsburgh vendors where they can sample foods.  They will also receive information about the local organic small businesses and information about the foods. Chris Jamison will singing live at 6 p.m. Fans will love his songs and remember that he was a finalist on "The Voice" this past season.

With an eco-fashion show that will garner their interest in the Fairmont Lobby, visitors will see unique fashions in a fantastic environment.  At the Andy's Wine Bar in the hotel they will also have the pleasure of enjoying a Earth Day special cocktail. This spectacular event will also feature live music of DJ Detour. The event is free.

At this wonderful event, a celebration will be given to honor Pittsburgh as the city that is most livable in the country. There will be activities for children There will be corporate leaders and public officials that will give their opinion about how the city's business are doing their parts for protecting our world. There are hands-on activities for both the young and the old. Visitors will also hear live performances from the Clarks, Nameless in August and Donora for a wonderful topper to this EverPower Earth Day free event.

Free yoga classes for both children and adults are held at the celebration at the Schenley Plaza.  Visitors will enjoy the beautiful scenery that is part of the area.  When they see the artist market, they will be pleased with the variety of crafts that are offered. There are also other family friendly activities for all to enjoy. This is a great way to celebrate Earth Day.
