The state of Pennsylvania has created the Commonwealth Workforce Development System (CWDS) in conjunction with PA CareerLink in order to efficiently connect Pennsylvania job seekers to jobs throughout Pennsylvania from many locations and online services.  This comprehensive database connects employees to employers that offer state, city, country, educational, vocational and other reputable jobs that establish careers.  Pittsburgh residents can stop by any of the downtown, Lawrenceville, Forest Hills or other Greater Pittsburgh locations to search their database of 1,000s of jobs. The CWDS offers resume building, coaching, job preparation, educational resources and incentives to employers to hire individuals that go through their agency. Pennsylvania offers Work Opportunity Tax Credits to employers who hire candidates that fit a diversity profile, as well as have other employment barriers.
