Whether it's the economy or the popularity of home improvement shows fueling what seems to be a "DIY movement," more and more people are opting to take on household task themselves.  If you'd sooner do-it-yourself than call a professional, you're probably already familiar with at least a few of these local stores!

The staff is friendly and helpful and -- as promised on its website – "will take the time to explain the HOW-TO in hardware, plumbing, electrical, paints and the many other departments found within Rollier's!" Whether you're looking for lumber, drywall or oak moldings for a room renovation or you just need to freshen up your room with new blinds, you're likely to find what you need for just about any Do-It-Yourself project. "It they don't know how to fix it, forget about it," said one CBS Pittsburgh staff member.

Billed as "Pittsburgh's only non-profit building material reuse retailer," Construction Junction encourages "conservation through the reuse of building materials."
