Best LGBT Pride Events In Pittsburgh

Pittsburgh certainly has a lot of pride - pride in its history, its ineffable sports teams, and its bountiful, colorful LGBT community. June is LGBT Pride month, though everyday is a celebration of love, understanding, and camaraderie in this flourishing community. Celebrate Pride this year by bouncing to one - or all - of the venues on this list, and show Pittsburgh what you really love about it - it's unequivocal acceptance of everyone.

Pride In The Street

Grab your partner, allies, and even friends-you-haven't-yet-met (because nobody is a stranger during Pride), for Pride in the Street 2015 - Pittsburgh's largest 18+ outdoor dance party featuring local, regional, and national acts. PITS past performers have included Adam Lambert, Patti LaBelle, Melissa Etheridge, Chaka Khan, and MAGIC! 2015's headliner hasn't yet been announced, so check back often. A full bar will be available, so be sure to bring your ID to enjoy delicious libations all day long.

Join the biggest group of revelers to hit Shadyside since prohibition ended, and hit the hottest LGBT-friendly bars and clubs during Pittsburgh's annual Pride Pub Crawl. The best part is that Pride.org, and the Delta Foundation have offered to all the driving, as ten chartered buses will continuously loop around the city to cover every location on the crawl all night long. The rules are simple: go to any participating bar or club, present your ticket and get on and off the buses as you please. Transport will arrive and depart every location in approximate 20 - 25 minute intervals. Stay as long as you want, and even enjoy discounts and complimentary drinks at participating bars and clubs - and remember: drink smart, stay safe.

Kick off Pridefest with an energizing, liberating march through downtown, as over 100+ organizations ban together to make what the Pittsburgh Post Gazette called "a spectacle larger than our Veteran's Day Parade!" Once the march concludes, kick off your shoes for 2015's Pridefest, a free event that takes place on Liberty Avenue between 6th Street and 10th Street. This year's Pride will feature 150+ vendors, street performers, food booths, family friendly carnival games, inflatable attractions, and a staggering array of continuous entertainment on two stages.

Founded in 2013., Circle of Faith brings together people from Episcopal, Jewish, Lutheran, Presbyterian, and United Methodist faiths, to form one unified message: that God does not discriminate. Join this worthy cause, and welcoming community for their monthly gathering, next held in June in Schenley Plaza. Speakers, refreshments, and activities are slated, and the camaraderie always flows. Bring your own beliefs, and witness more than a thousand voices singing one harmonious message - that we are all loved.

Eat, drink, and be merry at this fun social gathering, sponsored by the GLCC of Pittsburgh. The Bi Tea is a monthly meet up for EbiCENTER, and welcomes all to meet and interact with more of the gay community. The EbiCENTER,  a relatively new group to Pittsburgh, is geared toward advocacy for gay, bi, pan, queer, transgender, and fluid folks, and their friends, families, and supporters. Join this free monthly meetup, and get to know your neighbors, especially during Pride.
