Does Roethlisberger Need To 'Tweak His Game?'
PITTSBURGH (93-7 The Fan) - Ben Roethlisberger's agent Ryan Tollner joined Seibel, Starkey and Miller on Sportsradio 93.7 The FAN to discuss Ben's offseason and the comments made by Steelers' Owner Art Rooney II that Ben may need to "tweak" his game because he's always looking to evolve his game, and would like to avoid the hits the team doesn't want to see him take.
Tollner also pointed out that Ben is very confident in his ability, and can change his playing style against different defenses because he's capable of doing so many different things.
Ben is planning on playing in the Pro Bowl this year despite his high ankle sprain, and Tollner updated us on Ben's health and why they don't think he's risking anything playing in the game due to the lack of hitting.
Tollner also discussed with us the front row seat he has had in watching the off field progression of Ben Roethlisberger and how he has been able to turn his reputation around.
We also discussed whether or not Ben was upset not being voted MVP by his teammates, and Ryan said absolutely not because Ben doesn't care about individual accolades, he just wants to win championships and couldn't be more happy for Antonio Brown.
We wrapped things up with Tollner getting his insight on the relationship between Ben and Hines Ward, as well as whether or not Ben would be willing to restructure his contract given that the team is so far over the salary cap heading into the offseason.
