Ben Roethlisberger Has Shoulder Injury, Not Worried About Minor Tear
PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) -- Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger says he has a small tear in his rotator cuff.
However, he says he's not worried about the injury and it shouldn't hamper his ability to play the position at all. Rather, it has changed the way he prepares.
"If you watch walk-throughs, I used to throw all the time," Roethlisberger said. "Now it's just backing off. Now I don't ever throw during walk-throughs. It's less throwing; I think that's smart anyway. As you get older, you just need to take care of yourself whether you're hurt or not."
Roethlisberger first suffered the injury in a Nov. 6 game against Baltimore. He said Wednesday that it remains a little bit sore but it's a "non-issue because it happened so long ago."
Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin said he has no concerns regarding Roethlisberger's shoulder.
More Injury News:
- Linebacker James Harrison remained out Wednesday with a sore knee. He's not expected to return any time soon, as he was placed on the physically unable to perform list at the start of training camp.
