Bellevue Man Dies Along Parkway North While Driving To Hospital
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) - A Bellevue man died along the Parkway North Sunday.
According to police, 34-year-old John Yuhas was on his way to the hospital, but did not make it in time.
"At some point in time, earlier this morning, he made a phone call to someone saying that he was en route to the hospital and he was bleeding a lot," Trooper Robin Mungo said.
Yuhas managed to pull over on the Camp Horne Road off-ramp.
Other drivers noticed something wasn't right and called Ohio Township Police.
"Some people had passed by, noticed the vehicle, the reverse lights were on," Trooper Mungo said. "It was being occupied by one person, who appeared to be in the driver's seat, had fell over into the passenger's seat. There was a lot of blood in the vehicle."
Yuhas recently had surgery on his right forearm and he was rushing to the hospital because there was a problem with his wound.
"He had recently had surgery and at some point in time, he had reopened that wound where he had the surgery and unfortunately, he bled to death," Trooper Mungo said. "It was clear that his wound was definitely open and that is where he had been bleeding."
Yuhas' death has been ruled natural.
He had apparently been having this problem for a while and it went untreated.
