Beaver County Communities Dig Out After Snowstorm
MIDLAND (KDKA) -- Things were returning to normal in two Beaver County communities hit hard by snow.
Rodney Marshall, with the New Brighton Street Department, was completing a 17-hour shift.
"Getting hungry more than tired," he said. "Need to eat."
Marshall says starting Monday afternoon, drivers were focused on keeping the main roads clear and then they started working on secondary streets.
Midland was blanketed by nine inches of snow.
Industry Police Chief Garold Miller says crews did a great job.
"From what I seen, it was coming faster than they could keep up with, but for what they had to work with, I think they did a real good job," he said.
Jamie Nuskey, of New Sewickley, had trouble getting home in the snow Monday night, but her biggest problem today was shoveling her driveway.
Despite the hazardous road conditions, county officials say there were no major accidents involving injuries during the storm.
