Baltimore Mayor Dons Black & Gold, Fulfills Wager
PITTSBURGH (KDKA/AP) - Wearing a Hines Ward jersey and finally admitting that the Steelers are the "superior football team," the mayor of Baltimore has made good on her wager.
Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake lost the bet she made with Pittsburgh Mayor Luke Ravenstahl when the Steelers came from behind to defeat the Ravens in last weekend's playoff showdown.
As the losing mayor, Rawlings-Blake appears in a video posted on YouTube wearing black and gold.
In the video she says she is "contractually obligated" to record the message wearing the jersey and calls the Steelers the "superior football team."
However, she later changes into all black with a purple scarf.
As part of the wager, Rawlings-Blake also promised to send Ravenstahl some crab cakes from Faidley's Seafood.
