Authorities Waiting On Toxicology Results In Beechview Crash
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Police say it could be four months before toxicology results come back related to the fatal crash on Route 51 Sunday morning.
But those results might help answer some key questions about how 17-year-old Mysharri Millender and 19-year-old Kahdejah Cammon-Perkins died.
The two were in a rented GMC Envoy when it left road and became airborne. The girls ejected from the vehicle.
Two others in the car, identified by the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette as 19-year-old Montae Dixon and Khyree Gardenhire, survived the crash.
Police had not been able to determine who was driving the car. No one was wearing a seatbelt.
Less than 24 hours after the crash, Pittsburgh police surrounded a home at 315 Michigan Street in Beltzhoover calling in SWAT. A woman and three small children were removed from that home.
The home has been identified as the residence of Dixon. No one was arrested Sunday night. Police said they found shell casings on the front porch.
Police were also called to this same address in June of 2012 after Dixon was reportedly spotted down Michigan Street carrying an AK47.
Police have only confirmed so far that speed was a factor in this crash.
The investigation is ongoing.
