Authorities Trying To ID Woman Hit On Route 40

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – A woman was critically injured after being struck by a car on State Route 40 Saturday.

Police say she was found lying in the road, near Addison Township, when two bystanders tried to stop traffic to prevent cars from hitting her.

However, a car did hit her in the head and neck.

She was flown to Ruby Memorial Hospital in West Virginia in critical condition.

The female did not have any form of identification on her, nor was any found at the crash scene.

She is a white female between 20 and 40 years old, about 5 feet 2 inches tall, 110 pounds and has long, brown hair. Police say she also has an eyebrow piercing, but no eyebrow ring in, as well as stick figure tattoos on her arm and a heart tattoo on her hip.

State police ask anyone with information about the woman to contact Somerset Barracks at 814-445-4104.
