At Least 1 Killed In Route 28 Crash
O'HARA TOWNSHIP (KDKA) - Police are investigating after at least one person was killed in a two-vehicle accident on Route 28 early Sunday morning.
According to police, the accident happened on the northbound side of the road around 12:42 a.m. in O'Hara Township.
A vehicle being driven by 62-year-old James Hanion was traveling south in the northbound lanes, when he struck another vehicle head-on.
A 31-year-old man in the other vehicle is believed to have died in the crash. According to our news partners at the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, he has been identified as Matthew Eiseman. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Alcohol is believed to have played a role in the crash.
The crash caused the road to be closed for several hours, but it has since reopened.
