2 Dead, 1 Injured In Pulaski Twp. Crash
PULASKI TOWNSHIP (KDKA) -- Emergency crews were called to a deadly accident late Friday afternoon in Lawrence County.
According to emergency dispatchers with the county, the accident happened around 4:30 p.m. along Route 422 in Pulaski Township about a mile from the Pennsylvania-Ohio border.
Two people were killed and another person was seriously injured in the head-on, two-vehicle crash.
According to our news partners at the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, the victims have been identified as 60-year-old Richard Kubik of New Castle and 62-year-old Robert Bacon of Youngstown, Ohio. Kubik was the passenger of the car that struck the pickup truck Bacon was driving.
The Post-Gazette also reports the driver of the car, identified as 31-year-old Justin Stone of New Castle, was taken to St. Elizabeth Health Center for treatment. There's no word on his condition.
The accident caused traffic to back up in that area early Friday evening.
