ARNOLD, Pa. (KDKA) -- Arnold's police chief has been placed on administrative leave just six months after being named chief.

Chief Josh Stanga was suspended on Friday as part of an ongoing investigation.

Mayor Shannon Santucci confirmed the suspension to KDKA-TV on Sunday. Mayor Santucci added that the police station was not raided, but the attorney general's office and Pennsylvania State Police are part of the investigation.

Arnold City Council will hold an executive meeting on Monday to determine if Chief Stanga will get paid leave.

The mayor had no comment concerning what the investigation was about. She said they are cooperating with the investigation.

Another officer within the department is currently in charge but has not officially been given the label of interim police chief.
